Nathan Muggeridge joins Acoustic Sensing Technology

Tuesday, March 8th, 2016

Respected water industry figure, Nathan Muggeridge, has joined Acoustic Sensing Technology as Delivery Director.

The Liverpool based company supplies highly specialised software and hardware to the water & transport industries; which enables those charged with the upkeep and maintenance of the nation’s drain and sewer networks, to undertake surveys of buried pipe infrastructure far more rapidly and cost effectively than by using traditional methods such as CCTV. Data collected is then stored for further analysis to help improve the management of the drainage network, and minimise future blockage and flood events.

Speaking for Acoustic Sensing Technology, Executive Chairman Harvey West, was delighted to announce the appointment:

“Our business and customer commitments are growing rapidly. It is therefore absolutely critical to ensure that the significant operational savings our customers will achieve in using our products, and their need to minimise disruptive flooding events for their own customers, are robustly delivered and that we are properly focused on helping them do that.  With over 15 years’ direct experience in in this highly specialised area, Nathan will be a major asset to both us and our customers, and he brings a talent and strength to a team that is focused on developing a reputation for delivering high value added products for infrastructure operators and owners”.

“Nathan has worked with many of the UK’s Utility Companies on helping them get the best from their drainage infrastructure. His joining Acoustic Sensing Technology at this time also helps to reinforce the belief in the market that our core product, the SewerBatt ™, is now able to provide a total packaged solution to buried infrastructure management and smart operation in the 21st Century – we are delighted that he has chosen to join us”.

On joining the company Nathan explained that his motivation was to “play a part in changing the way the industry has historically operated, and to have the opportunity to work with major infrastructure owners & operators  to meet the increasing challenges they  face in ensuring better sewer and drainage network operation”.
